Our Approach
Jillian Meinhardt founded The Bari Group on the basis that kids and teens thrive when they feel confident, supported and connected. It can be hard to see past the meltdowns in the grocery store, fights with siblings or the tears afterschool, especially when teachers say everything is “fine.” These big behaviors come from big feelings that are uncomfortable, new and waiting to be seen and held.
We hold the space for your children, tweens, teens and you to express those big feelings without judgement. How are we different? We encourage the screaming, crying and frustration that shows up in sessions, then we get to the real work. We guide your child in processing those emotions and finding tools to express the feelings in safe and appropriate ways. This approach helps children feel truly heard while building lasting emotional regulation skills.
